For the next week, please pick up the phone and call someone instead of texting. I love having the option to text and I also love to email. Sometimes a text message has a tendency to be misinterpreted or be misunderstood. We send a text message, as a way to avoid the dialogue between two people and by thinking of an easier way to express what we are feeling. I will be speaking with everyone over the phone, if not face to face for the next week. Having a true connection with others over the phone.
In the words of Charlie Puth song, “We Don’t Talk Anymore,” his message was related in other ways. But we do not talk enough anymore.
There are others who prefer to not text at all and still get in their cars and visit friends and family. Upon speaking with another friend, whom I knew loves to go and visit friends and family face to face, stated she still calls before going. As she puts it, back home where she is from, you just go visit without calling. Now a days you call before going to visit.
While this is temporary, let us try not to text for one week. Even messaging to others in social media platforms, included.
Let us all talk over the phone for a while. Hear their voices!
